When using dental floss, take an appropriate length, wrap it around the middle finger and leave a length for operation, gently enter the gap between teeth, scrape up and down close to the tooth surface to clean, change the floss to clean each gap between teeth, and finally rinse your mouth. It is recommended to use it after meals to maintain oral hygiene.

Take the floss: First, you need to take a piece of dental floss of an appropriate length, usually about 15-30 cm12. The length can be adjusted according to personal usage habits and hand size.
Hold the floss: Wrap the two ends of the dental floss around the middle fingers of both hands and tighten them. Use the index finger and thumb to control the dental floss, leaving about 1-1.5 cm for operation.
Enter the gap between teeth: Gently put the dental floss into the gap between teeth. You can use a sawing method to avoid forcible entry to avoid damaging the gums.
Clean the tooth surface: After the dental floss enters the gap between teeth, it needs to be kept close to the tooth surface, and then scraped up and down to clean the plaque and soft scale on the adjacent surfaces of the teeth. Each tooth surface usually needs to be scraped repeatedly 3-6 times to ensure thorough cleaning.
Flossing: After cleaning one gap between teeth, you need to change the clean part of the floss and continue to clean the next gap between teeth to avoid cross contamination.
Rinse: When all the gaps between teeth are cleaned, rinse your mouth with clean water to remove the scraped plaque, soft scale and food residues.
Frequency of use: It is usually recommended to use dental floss to clean after meals to maintain oral hygiene. Flossing every day not only protects your teeth, but also reduces the risk of harmful bacteria entering the blood circulation through gingivitis, thereby helping to prevent diseases such as heart disease.
